Projects - 2021 to 2024 Fanshawe Film Studies

In the industry I get asked a lot, why did you take film school, which is a question I've been struggling for quite a bit now to figure out myself. Nearing graduation I have found the answer and it makes me appreciate the time I've had at Fanshawe even more. Yes, I wasn't getting paid yet paying to be there, but it is worth it with the amount of access to industry-standard equipment and software, the friends you make, the social skills you gain, keeping your brain active with up-to-date higher education, and the time you are given to create. I hear time and time again just record, film school is the perfect opportunity to show off your skills, meet people, and have time to create together for the purpose of having something to show off what you are capable of. No experience is a wasted experience and I look back on Fanshawe BRT and AFM with fond memories ready to give the industry a real shot.

Spirit To Break

Connor Mathewson-Webster's journey is a testament to the power of resilience, determination, and the unwavering support of the community. A long-time friend, and I'm glad I got to tell his story.

Jacks High - Producer

Faced with the chance to join the popular crowd at school, Jack risks inviting some classmates over for a poker game, despite his lack of poker knowledge. When his deck of cards begins speaking to him, giving tips on how to win the game, he quickly becomes drunk with power and must decide between an unwitting friend and his band of chaotic little face cards.

Tempus Mortis - DOP

In "Tempus Mortis," Adam Sable, an experienced homicide detective, meets a tragic end in the midst of investigating a murder. However, when he awakens to find himself trapped in a time loop, his hope of an easy case is gone. With each recurring day, he is confronted by the same crime scene but uncovers new, vital clues with each cycle. On this set I had learned a lot of vital DOP tips and tricks that I have continued to use in my career.

Close Cut - Audio

Patrick Bowman is a third-generation barber who has spent his life not only cutting hair but also touching the lives of everyone around him. Despite what his positive, welcoming attitude may lead you to believe, life hasn't always been kind to Patrick.

Brewed With Passion - DOP

Brewed With Passion is a short documentary that delves into the inspiring stories of London's local breweries and their fight for survival during the COVID-19 pandemic. As the city faced unprecedented challenges, these small but passionate brewers showcased remarkable ingenuity and community spirit. Through candid interviews and behind-the-scenes footage, we explore how they adapted to lockdowns, pivoted business models, and found innovative ways to keep the taps flowing.

Hell Diver Music Video - DOP

This shoot was by far one of my favorites simply because of the team and the collaborative effort put into it. Music videos are fun because of the creative freedom you have. I am always open to shooting any music video no matter the genre..

Inspiration Through Light

A mini-narrative done early on in my film career and still is one of my favorite projects. This very short documentary covers how lightning technicians are more artists than anything.

Vampire Chronicles - DOP

This was another favourite to film as I was only used to the Digital Cameras we use nowadays. It was a really cool experience to get to use and operate the Bolex, although loading the film and waiting for it to develop is quite the process, film gives you a look like no other. I wish the Bolex had a bigger viewfinder, you have to squint to see anything!
